“Crypto Man” is a story about the cryptocurrency crash that shook the world with a 50 trillion won evaporation. This film marks the final work of Song Jae-rim, who tragically passed away in November last year. Song Jae-rim portrayed Yang Do-hyun, the protagonist and self-proclaimed business genius behind the development of a cryptocurrency called MOMMY.

When asked about Song Jae-rim, director Hyun Hae-ri, overwhelmed with emotion, shed tears. After composing herself, she explained, “I thought the character needed to have an unreadable face. After holding auditions, I cast him, and he turned out to be incredibly knowledgeable about cryptocurrency. I still vividly remember our first delightful conversation. The moment I saw him, I thought, ‘He’s Yang Do-hyun.’

She added, “Throughout the filmmaking process, we had many conversations, and he provided a lot of ideas. At first, people misunderstood him because of the impression he gave, but he was such a warm-hearted and funny person. I miss him so much, and it’s truly heartbreaking. It would have been so wonderful if he could be here with us today.”

“Crypto Man” is set to be released on January 15.
